Welcome to Henleaze Bowling Club, a friendly and inclusive lawn bowls club located in the heart of Henleaze, Bristol. Our club has been a part of the community since 1928 and offers a welcoming and social environment for members of all ages and experience levels.

Whether you're a seasoned bowler or new to the sport, Henleaze Bowling Club is a fantastic place to enjoy a game of bowls. We offer both competitive and friendly matches, allowing members to play in a way that suits their preferences.

For those who are new to bowls, we encourage you to contact our Secretary to arrange a “taster” session. This will give you the opportunity to experience the game, see our club facilities, and learn how we operate. Our qualified coaches are available to assist and guide your development, ensuring you have the necessary skills to enjoy the sport.

If you're an experienced bowler looking for a club, we invite you to come up for a roll-up and explore our facilities. The green is well-maintained, providing an excellent playing surface, and our club boasts a vibrant social atmosphere.

Henleaze Bowling Club is proud to be affiliated with national and local leagues. We have a full fixture list of Men's, Ladies', and mixed matches, as well as two Men's League teams in the Bristol and District League, and three Ladies' teams in the Bristol Ladies League. Our club also hosts internal competitions and an internal triples league, ensuring there are plenty of opportunities for friendly competition among our members.

We are fortunate to have three Level 2 certified Bowls England coaches within our membership. They regularly run coaching evenings for beginners and improvers, and are available for individual coaching sessions upon request. This ensures that members at all skill levels have access to expert guidance and support.
