Although outdoor bowling season is still a few months away, its never too early to start looking forward to enjoying the fresh air and serene surroundings at Elvaston Bowling Club.

Whether you are a seasoned bowler or have never played before, Hexham Elvaston Bowling Club welcomes individuals of all ages and skill levels. These enthusiastic individuals have attended jumbles on Saturdays and have performed exceptionally well, showcasing their commitment to learning the sport. Some new bowlers have also participated in the Monday Shield matches, which offer longer single team games, providing a different level of excitement and challenge. At Hexham Elvaston Bowling Club, the role of a Skip is often filled with stress and frustration, wondering how to deal with the challenges that arise after the team has made their offering. This common pose, frequently seen on the green, captures a Skip's contemplation and occasional satisfaction as they navigate through the game. The President of Hexham Elvaston Bowling Club has chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as the charity for 2024. Collection tins are available on the kitchen bench for cash donations, and a voluntary payment of 1 for 'wrong bias' shots in a match is also accepted.
