At High Performance Hockey, player development is overseen by Ryan Aldridge, a highly experienced coach with over 19 years of coaching experience and 21 years of playing experience at professional levels in the UK. Ryan has played in the EIHL (Elite Ice Hockey League) and EPIHL (English top Ice Hockey League), and he currently serves as the Head Coach of the Leeds Knights in the NIHL (National Ice Hockey League). Ryan has also coached junior teams at the Okanagan Hockey Academy and at GB and England National levels, demonstrating his commitment to player development.
In addition to Ryan's expertise, he is supported by a vast network of coaching contacts across North America, Europe, and the UK. This ensures that High Performance Hockey stays at the forefront of player development and equips young athletes with the necessary skills to progress in their hockey careers.
High Performance Hockey also benefits from a strong partnership with Mike Ellis, a two-time Stanley Cup Winner and the Director of Skill Development at Tampa Bay Lightning NHL. Mike is a skills consultant for Hockey Canada's National Women's Programme and the owner/founder of Hockey Detail. Ryan and Mike have a longstanding relationship, having played together and coached together in the British National League. This partnership allows players at High Performance Hockey to learn cutting-edge training and teaching methods to push themselves outside their comfort zone.
