Join the ranks at Hinxworth Archery Club, nestled in the scenic village of Hinxworth, North Hertfordshire. Established in 1999 by Marianne and David Osmond, this friendly club welcomes everyone from the age of 10 to 70+ with open arms.
Members can hone their skills using Compound, Recurve (Olympic), and traditional English Longbows. To ensure everyone is safe and prepared, a mandatory Beginner's course is required before joining.
The club's outdoor range is at the Recreation Ground on Francis Road. They gather every Sunday morning for practice and matches, and from April to October, enjoy evening shoots on Wednesdays and Fridays. Come September, they start a bit earlier at 5:00 pm.
For indoor practice during the winter months (mid-October to March), head over to the beautiful 17th-century barn in nearby Edworth on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Hinxworth Archery Club offers free individual coaching by arrangement, helping members improve their skills in a safe and supportive environment. Safeguarding is taken seriously to ensure everyone's well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions
We meet every Sunday morning all year round at the Recreation ground in Francis Road, Hinxworth for practice and league matches. From April until October we also shoot on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6.00pm onwards until dusk.
From mid October to the end of March we practice indoors at the 17th century barn in nearby Edworth on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7.00 - 9.00 pm.
All Club members have attended a mandatory Beginner's course before joining the Club. Contact us for details of the next beginners' course.
