Dive into the fun at Hippo Swim Club in High Wycombe! Led by the fabulous Elaine and a team of top-notch instructors, this friendly club has been making waves since the mid-90s, teaching people of all ages and abilities to swim.
For the little ones, they’ve got a splash-tastic pre-school class for kids aged 2–4 years where parents can join in the pool fun. Once the kids hit 4, they can dive into group classes (just 6 swimmers per class) to really start their swimming journey. If you prefer a bit more personal coaching, they also offer 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 classes.
Classes at Hippo Swim Club are tiered from beginners (Stage 1) to advanced swimmers (Stage 7), so there’s something for everyone.
Adults, don't feel left out! They've got ladies-only and mens-only classes at Millbrook Combined School, perfect for beginners and those looking to improve. Plus, there’s an option for 1-2-1 sessions if you want that extra bit of individual attention.
Elaine and her team are known for their friendly, encouraging approach, helping swimmers conquer their water fears and make impressive progress. Many of their students have even gone on to competitive swimming!
Classes run during the school year on weekends and some weekdays, with fun crash courses during school holidays. They keep things challenging but enjoyable, with term-end assessments offering the chance to earn National Plan stage awards levels 1-7, distance badges, and certificates.
