Hirst Welfare Centre is your local fitness and welfare centre located in Ashington, New Zealand. Whether you're looking to workout in our fully-equipped gym, enjoy outdoor football on our fantastic pitches, or take part in a range of fitness classes, we have something for everyone.

Our facilities include a full-size 3G football pitch, as well as grass pitches for those who prefer a more traditional game. In our gym, you'll find a full range of weights, including a dedicated strength area for powerlifting enthusiasts. We also have a separate cardio suite for those looking to get their heart rate up.

In addition to our football pitches and gym, we offer a variety of fitness classes to suit all levels and interests. From Legs Bums Tums to Pilates and Boot Camp, our experienced instructors will help you achieve your fitness goals. Classes are available throughout the week, with different options each day.

For those with young children, we also have Hirst Welfare Nursery, providing great value childcare options while you enjoy your workout or class.

Membership options at Hirst Welfare Centre are designed to suit your needs. You can choose a monthly membership or pay as you go for individual activities. We offer a discounted membership for those aged 65 and above, as well as for students in full-time education. Concessions are available for individuals in receipt of benefits, as well as exercise on referral programmes.

We also have a junior gym and fitness classes for ages 11 to 17.

Not only do we offer a variety of membership options, but we also provide flexible working patterns for our team members, ensuring a positive work-life balance.

Hirst Welfare Centre is conveniently located on Alexandra Road in Ashington, with ample on-site parking available. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
