Honto Shin Karate Academy was founded by Sensei Liz Fraser in 1983. Sensei Fraser's disciplined and focused approach to teaching has led to the success of numerous competition champions. Sensei Andy Nesbitt, a loyal student of Sensei Fraser for over 26 years, now leads the club as the main instructor. Assisting him are Adam Foster, a 4th Dan black belt, and Anth Dowd, a 2nd Dan black belt who also serves as our safeguarding officer.
Our instructors bring together a wealth of experience and qualifications to provide a safe and enriching learning environment.
Don't just take our word for it, hear from our students themselves. We have received great feedback and praise from our students, who love practising karate and appreciate the welcoming and supportive atmosphere of our club.
