Horning Sailing Club is situated on a picturesque bend of the River Bure, near The Swan Inn in Horning, Norfolk. The club prides itself on its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it the ideal place for both experienced sailors and those new to the sport.

The club offers a variety of sailing activities throughout summer. Racing takes place on Sundays, providing members with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against others in a thrilling and competitive environment. Additionally, the club is an accredited RYA Training Centre and offers training sessions on Thursday evenings, catering to all skill levels.

Horning Sailing Club is well-known for hosting several prestigious open events, including the annual 3 Rivers Race, a challenging 24-hour endurance race on the rivers Bure, Ant, and Thurne. The club also organises the week-long Horning Regatta Week, attracting participants from across the country. Open events for Yeoman, YBOD, and Dinghy classes are also held throughout the year, providing opportunities for sailors to compete in various categories.

Aside from competitive sailing, the club aims to promote the sport and allow visitors to experience the joy of sailing. The club's “Try Sailing sessions” during the Horning Boat Show provide individuals with the chance to get out on the water and learn the basics of sailing, all in a safe and supportive environment.

Horning Sailing Club is proud of its rich history and heritage. It was originally founded in 1910 as the Horning Town Sailing Club, with its headquarters at The Swan Hotel. After an amalgamation in 1938, the club was re-established as the Horning Sailing Club, with an impressive initial membership of 244. Today, the club continues to thrive and remains a beloved institution for sailing enthusiasts in the Norwich area.
