Horsham School of Dance

Welcome to Horsham School of Dance, a premier dance school located in Horsham, West Sussex. Our school offers a wide range of classes, including RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Vocational Dance, and Adult Classes.

Our Ballet classes cater to girls and boys from the age of three and up. We focus on building coordination and engaging children's imagination through the use of music, stories, and props. Our qualified instructors create a positive and nurturing environment to inspire a love for dance.

In our ISTD Modern classes, students will learn techniques and styles commonly seen on stage in shows. This class provides an excellent foundation for other theatrical styles such as Musical Theatre and Contemporary dance.

Contemporary dance is another popular class at Horsham School of Dance. We offer three levels – an introductory level incorporating Jazz dance for ages eight to twelve, an Intermediate level, and a senior level. These classes allow students to explore their creativity and develop their dance skills.

For those interested in rhythm and coordination, our ISTD Tap Dance classes are the perfect choice. Tap dancing develops exceptional coordination and cardiovascular fitness while providing a fantastic workout for the brain. We start tap combined with modern at around five years old.

Our Musical Theatre classes equip students with the skills to become a “triple threat” – someone who can sing, dance, and act at a high standard. With a focus on creativity and fun, students will develop their skills in all three areas.

For students who have a passion for dance and want to take it to the next level, our Vocational Dance classes are available. Our qualified teachers are experienced in teaching the higher levels required by the 'vocational' grades. We are proud of our 100% success rate in exams and have had many students go on to full-time vocational dance training.

At Horsham School of Dance, we believe that dance is not just for children. We offer Adult Classes that provide improved balance, reduced stress, increased cardiovascular fitness, and a life-affirming experience. Join us to enjoy the social aspect of dancing and the uplifting music.

We have a 100% success rate in exams and have produced professionally staged shows at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham.
