The 18-hole executive golf course at Hy-Hope Farm offers a challenging layout spanning over 3,000 yards of playing area. Originally starting as a six-hole course, it has evolved into a top golfing destination in Pickering. The course provides a family-friendly environment where parents can bring their children to learn and enjoy the game of golf in a relaxed atmosphere.
Owned by Dave and Carol Bibb, Hy-Hope Farm has a rich history dating back to 1972 when Jack and Florence Lusted purchased the Spencer Farm. Over the years, the farm has transformed into a year-round market offering a variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and activities. Carol's passion for baking led to the creation of the farm's renowned pies, which have become a staple in the community.
Stewart Bibb, the Golf Course Superintendent, takes pride in maintaining the grounds and ensuring that golfers have an enjoyable experience on the course. With a passion for skiing and spending time with his family, Stewart brings dedication and care to the upkeep of the course. The farm production is overseen by Derek Quirion, who values the heritage of farming and continues the tradition of providing fresh produce to the community.
Lisa Bibb, the resident baker, adds her touch to the farm's bakery, offering a delicious array of baked goods to visitors. Her commitment to quality and tradition shines through in each pastry and treat that comes out of the oven. Together, the team at Hy-Hope Farm is dedicated to providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
