Impetus Dance Theatre is proud to be Geelong's premier home of Dance since 1987.

At Impetus, we pride ourselves on creating a positive, inclusive environment for every dancer. It is our goal to make sure everyone leaves our studios with a huge smile on their faces.

Every member of the Impetus Family is here for their own personal love of dance, and we strongly believe that EVERYONE should dance. We offer classes for

• Tiny Dancers who have just learned to walk,
• different styles for our kinder- and school-aged students,
• as well as Seniors classes for experienced and new dancers.
• We also offer our DanceAbility class for dancers from 14 years under the guidance of experienced disability support workers – we are fantastic dancers as well!

  Our Teachers are all brilliant dancers who – most importantly – love sharing their passion for dance and seriously thrive on seeing you and your children  developed their skills. We will meet everyone who walks through our doors where they are at – and help you develop your technique and skills while you feel welcomed and part of a big family.

  We are known in Geelong for our brilliant yearly show at our world-class facility GPAC. Our show is a professionally produced explosion of colour and music and is so so so much fun to watch or be part of. Most classes at Impetus prepare numbers throughout the year to showcase on the big stage as part of this huge performance, and we are honoured to provide our students with this opportunity. Being part of our Show creates so much joy, pride, and confidence, and we promise that being part of it or watching a family member be part of it, will be a memory you will cherish for the rest of your life.
