The Indigenous Game Development Program (IGDP) is a fantastic opportunity for Indigenous young people in Canberra and the surrounding areas to take their basketball skills to the next level. With a focus on skill development and accreditation for various basketball roles, this program is designed to empower participants both on and off the court.
Led by experienced coaches and educators from Basketball ACT, the IGDP offers a supportive and culturally appropriate environment for young athletes to grow and excel. Not only will participants have the chance to improve their skills, but they can also work towards forming a team to compete at Indigenous Basketball Australia (IBA) events and proudly represent the region.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining the IGDP, now is your chance! Term 2 kicks off on May 7, 2024, and runs until June 25, 2024. Sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings at St Edmunds College Gym, offering a convenient and central location for participants. The cost of participation is $45 per person, which includes an IGDP Polo and training singlet.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to enhance your basketball skills, gain valuable experience, and be part of a supportive and inclusive community. Register now to secure your spot in the upcoming IGDP program!
