Sarah Foster, the drama and singing teacher at IDS, has years of experience and a real passion for helping her students shine. She creates a safe space where everyone can explore their creativity and grow their skills. Sarah also helps students get ready for auditions and performances, giving them what they need to succeed.

Throughout the year, IDS hosts guest choreographers who run exciting workshops and masterclasses. These industry pros offer fresh new ideas and techniques, so students get the chance to learn from the best and expand their dance skills.

To ensure every performance looks and runs smoothly, IDS has a dedicated technical manager. They handle everything from stage and lighting design, making sure each show is stunning and flawless.

At Ingleby Dance School, the focus isn’t just on dance and performing arts, but also on personal growth and development. Dawn recognises how important mental well-being, self-belief, and teamwork are. Classes often include wellness and guided meditation to give students a well-rounded experience.

IDS offers optional exams for those looking for a bit more challenge, but keeps a non-competitive vibe where everyone gets to shine. With annual shows like the Summer Show, ARC Production, and Baby Christmas Show, every student has the chance to perform on a big stage.

The IDS timetable is packed with classes for all ages and abilities. From the little ones in the Green group (ages 3-4) to the Senior tap class (ages 11-12), there’s something for everyone. There are also Acro, musical theatre, and various other classes, making sure students get a broad education in performing arts.

Principal Dawn Coucke leads the IDS team with her extensive dance and teaching background. She’s all about teaching life skills alongside dance and performing arts.
