Director Karina Canete leads Ivy League Allstars with her extensive experience in both cheer and dance. With 16 years of experience, she holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Teaching from Western Sydney University. Karina is highly esteemed in her field, with previous experience as a Director of Cheer for a local gym. She has won numerous National and International titles as both a coach and athlete, and has also competed at prestigious events such as NDA in Dallas, Texas.
Karina's dedication to education extends beyond dance, as she is also the proud owner of Ivy League Tutoring, a programme that promotes an individualised approach to learning.
The mission of Ivy League Allstars is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where students can be adaptable, open to new opportunities, and grow both personally and artistically. The Ivy Shield, a visual representation of their motto, symbolises the school's commitment to continual improvement and embracing new experiences. Wearing the Ivy Shield means embodying these values and striving to achieve possibilities that others have not yet reached.
The facility at Ivy League Allstars is one of the largest in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. It boasts a full competition-sized sprung cheerleading floor, a full competition-sized sprung dance floor, a large recreational dance floor, and a tumble space. In addition, there is a dedicated tutoring classroom known as The Library, providing a well-rounded educational experience for students.
At Ivy League Allstars, students are encouraged to bear the Ivy League Shield, uphold the mission, and strive to become the best version of themselves. Through their dedication and commitment, they can succeed with dignity and reach new heights in their dance journey.
