As an accomplished golfer himself, James started his training in Spain under the supervision of Philip Murphy, the former Head Irish Junior Coach. He continued his training and became fully qualified at Beedles Lake Golf Club in Leicestershire. James has also played on both the Euro Pro and Tamsel tours, winning various tournaments throughout the Midlands. More than a decade ago, he moved to Stokesley Golf Range to establish the James Atthey Golf Academy.
At the academy, James and his team offer a range of coaching options in various areas of the facility. From the Swing Studio to the Short Game Area, they utilise the different tools and spaces to tailor lessons according to the individual's needs.
