The Janice Hughes School of Dance, established in 1985, is one of the most established and respected dance schools in Dukinfield, North West. With over 200 pupils ranging from ages 3 to 25 years, the school offers a wide variety of classes including tap, ballet, modern stage, contemporary, lyrical, acro, and hip-hop.
The school is proud to prepare students for competitions, professional shows, and NATD examinations, boasting an impressive 100% pass rate to date. Throughout the years, both the school and its pupils have had the opportunity to perform in many professional productions, including the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, dancing with the Halle Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall, and performing at Her Majesties Theatre in London. Many of the school's former pupils have gone on to pursue successful careers in theatre and dance.
One distinctive feature of the Janice Hughes School of Dance is JHVirtual, their very own online drive. JHVirtual provides students and parents with the ability to access resources and music for upcoming exams and productions. They can also watch instructional videos to practise their work at home and challenge themselves with different exercises to improve their strength, flexibility, and technique.
