About
The Janon de Blainville Bridge Club was founded on November 4, 2013, by Ral Franc in collaboration with Normand Bonin and Denise Malette. Recognized as a community organization by the city of Blainville, the club offers beginner courses every September, provided there are enough candidates. A modern and pioneering club, it encouraged neighbouring clubs to digitize their operations, purchasing Bridgemate after just one year of activity in January 2015 and a card-dealing machine on August 1, 2016.
The club caters to both novice and experienced players, with specific rules in place such as weak 2 openings, opening bids with 12 points, responses with a minimum of 5 points, and the requirement to alert any deviations from normal rules. Ral Franc is an accredited director by Acbl. The club's executive team includes Ral as President, Normand as Vice President, Yvon as Treasurer, Franoise as Secretary, Lorraine as Administrator, Andr as Administrator, and Deborah as Administrator.
For those looking for a bridge partner, the club offers a partner search service via email or phone. The club plays every Monday, except during the holiday season. Located at 1025 Chemin du Plan Bouchard in Blainville, the club welcomes players to join them for a game. Photos of club events and results are shared on the club's social media page and website.
The Janon de Blainville Bridge Club looks forward to welcoming new members and creating a vibrant community of bridge players in the area.
