The Jennifer Jack School of Dance and Performing Arts is a dance school located in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. Established in 2014, the school offers weekly classes in dance, gymnastics, acting, and singing for students aged 2 to 18. With a focus on providing high-quality performing arts training, the school also emphasises building confidence and ensuring a fun experience for all students.
Conveniently situated at Unit 3, 29 Flowerhill Street, Airdrie, the Jennifer Jack School of Dance and Performing Arts operates out of a purpose-built studio. The studio is specifically designed to accommodate the various classes offered, ensuring a conducive environment for learning and practise.
One of the unique programmes offered by the school is Musical Mini's, designed for younger pre-school students aged 2 to 5 who have not yet started school. This class combines drama, acting, singing, and dance in a fun and interactive environment, allowing children to explore various styles and discover their own passion. For parents who are initially concerned about their child's adjustment to a new environment, the school allows parents to wait in the dressing room during the first week to help ease any unsettled feelings.
The school aims to keep parents involved and updated on their child's progress. With permission, the school regularly shares photos and updates on social media platforms. This allows parents to witness their child's growth and development in their performing arts journey.
To ensure a professional and polished appearance during classes and showcases, students are required to wear a uniform. More information about uniform requirements can be found on the school's uniform shop page. It is important to note that outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio to prevent damage to the flooring. Tan jazz shoes are also required for both classes and showcases.
Enrolment in classes is currently open, and interested students are encouraged to join the school to participate in the next showcase. The August 2023 term timetable highlights the various classes available for enrolment.
With a commitment to providing high-quality performing arts training and fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment, the Jennifer Jack School of Dance and Performing Arts invites individuals of all ages and skill levels to be a part of their dance community.
