Jessica Littledale is a Yoga instructor based in Henley-on-Thames, New Zealand. She is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and find joy through yoga. Jessica's journey with yoga started when she realised that exercise shouldn't be a punishment, but rather a way to lovingly move the body. She went on to complete her 500-hour yoga teacher training, and she is also a pre and postnatal coach.
Jessica's classes are not about contorting oneself into difficult poses, but rather create a judgement-free zone where the focus is on feeling good physically and mentally. She incorporates biomechanics and exercise science principles to design her classes, aiming to help her students move better.
One of Jessica's popular classes is “Yoga for Mums & Movers. ” This class is specifically designed for mothers with babies who are on the move, up to around 18 months old. An additional adult is present during the class to help manage and engage with the babies. The class addresses the unique challenges and joys that come with having a mobile baby, such as increased strength requirements, stress reduction, core and pelvic floor coordination, and building a resilient body and mind.
It provides an opportunity for mothers to take care of themselves without the need for childcare, and also offers a chance to connect with other local mums.
Jessica also offers a Hatha Flow Lunchtime Class, perfect for individuals who want to take a break from their work desks and recharge during their lunch break. This 45-minute class focuses on stretching and strengthening the body, releasing any tension built up over the week. It provides an energy boost and increased mental clarity, allowing participants to clear their to-do lists before the weekend.
For beginners who are unsure where to start, Jessica offers an Introduction to Yoga class. This class combines classic yoga poses and flows with plenty of time for discussion and questions. The aim is to make participants feel confident enough to continue their yoga practise.
Jessica is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for her students. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practising for years, Jessica's classes offer a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on both physical and mental well-being.
