Maryam, the founder of Jivan Yoga, has diverse experience and knowledge. With a background in French Literature & Linguistics and Education, she brings a unique perspective to her teaching. Her Indian heritage and Canadian background enrich her classes with cultural depth. As a busy mum to two young children, she understands the challenges and time constraints faced by many.

Maryam recognises that yoga can be a short meditation or a longer session and encourages you to find what works best. Whether you choose group classes or personal sessions, Maryam crafts a safe and supportive space. She believes yoga goes beyond physical movement, incorporating music, mantras, and trauma-informed techniques to help you feel balanced mentally and physically.
