Joss Bay Surf School

Located in Broadstairs, near Margate in Kent, Joss Bay Surf School is the exclusive, licenced provider of surf and stand up paddleboard (SUP) lessons for Joss Bay. With 25 years of experience, the school prides itself on delivering safe and enjoyable experiences for all.

The school's instructors hold qualifications from Surfing's World Governing Body (ISA), Surf Life Saving GB Beach Lifeguard, Surf Coach Safety & Rescue Awards, and are affiliated with Surfing England and Kent County Council. This extensive expertise ensures that students receive top-quality instruction and the highest levels of safety.

Joss Bay Surf School offers a range of lessons for both surfing and SUP. Lessons are available for individuals or groups, with a maximum group size of 16 for surfing and 8 for SUP. All lessons last for 2 hours and include all necessary equipment.

For surfing, group lessons are priced as follows: 40 for 1 lesson, ideal for beginners; 75 for 2 lessons tailored to individual ability; 100 for 3 lessons; and 150 for 5 lessons, which can be split over multiple dates. Private lessons are also available, providing personalised instruction with one instructor.

SUP lessons are available in both group and private formats. Group lessons, priced at 40 per session, are ideal for beginners or those looking to experience the sport. Private lessons last for one hour and include all equipment.
