J. Stark Skatepark boasts a 10,000 square foot layout with state-of-the-art street features and a bowl, providing endless opportunities for riders to hone their skills and showcase their tricks. Situated on the corner of Jubilee Road and Rosedale Avenue, this skatepark is conveniently located on the north-east corner of the Summerland Secondary School field.
The completion of J. Stark Skatepark was made possible through a collaborative effort between the District of Summerland, The Penny Lane Charity Society, School District 67, the Federal Gas Tax Community Works Fund, and community contributions. This $600,000 project stands as a testament to the power of community partnerships in creating vibrant recreational spaces.
Mayor Toni Boot commended the previous Councils for their vision and commitment to the skatepark project, highlighting the positive impact it has had on Summerland as a tourist destination and a hub of community activity for youth. With benefits ranging from reducing illicit behaviour to fostering physical and mental health benefits, J.
