Julie Powell is a professional golf instructor based in Tweed Heads South on the Gold Coast. With over three decades of experience, she offers golf tuition for individuals of all ages and skill levels, helping them improve their game and achieve their goals. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced golfer seeking to refine your skills, Julie provides private or group lessons in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Julie's passion for golf began at a young age. Born and raised in Sydney, she became the youngest Australian Judo champion at just 16 before deciding to dedicate herself to golf. At 18, she started representing New South Wales and by the age of 20, she was representing Australia. Julie turned professional at 21 and went on to win three consecutive LPGA championships.

She also represented Australia internationally and served as the President of the LPGA, which is now known as the ALPG.

After her successful golf career, Julie moved to Japan to become a teaching professional at Karasuyamajo Country Club. She has since returned to Australia and is now based at the Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club. In addition to her work at the club, she also tours the north-eastern New South Wales coast to offer specialised ladies clinics.

Julie's teaching approach focuses on keeping the golf swing simple and natural to ensure a consistent and reliable game. She believes that most bad shots can be corrected in the setup and address. Whether you prefer private, buddy, or group lessons, Julie offers various options to accommodate your needs. Private lessons provide focused and personalised diagnostics to tailor a strategy specifically for you.

Buddy lessons allow you to improve alongside a friend, providing motivation and value for money. Additionally, group lessons are available for groups of 5–12 participants.
