JumpCamp is the ultimate destination for snowboarders of all ages and abilities looking to improve their skills in the park and backcountry. Established in the winter of 1999, JumpCamp is located on Forbidden Plateau, BC, and offers the best natural terrain on Vancouver Island along with a private terrain park.
JumpCamp is a registered non-profit organization that supports youth and works alongside companies with similar ideals. The camp's mission is to provide a fun and progressive environment for snowboarders to learn new tricks and sharpen their freestyle skills.
The terrain park at JumpCamp features jumps and rails of varying sizes, allowing campers to start on smaller features and work their way up. With small session sizes, campers can enjoy one-on-one coaching from experienced instructors, ensuring maximum fun and progression.
Registration for JumpCamp can be done online or by phone, with all camps including professional instruction and product giveaways. Throughout the years, JumpCamp has become a staple in the freestyle snowboarding community, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for riders to push their limits and have fun.
In addition to the snowboard camps, JumpCamp also hosts an annual Snowboard Drive to collect gear for less fortunate youth and families in the Comox Valley. The drive relies on the generosity of the community to donate snowboards, boots, jackets, gloves, and goggles to support local youth programs.
For those looking to delve deeper into the history and adventures of JumpCamp, the camp has released a limited edition photo book titled “JumpCamp is Forbidden. “ This book documents the journey of the camp over the past 20 years, showcasing the camaraderie and achievements of campers and friends in this snowboard paradise.
JumpCamp truly embodies the spirit of freestyle snowboarding, providing a platform for riders to connect, learn, and progress in a supportive and exhilarating environment.
