Our classes incorporate safe, exciting, and fun activities that utilise age-specific equipment as well as Olympic apparatus. The Junior Program at Edge Gymnastics aims to improve fine and gross motor skills, balance, coordination, spatial awareness, problem-solving abilities, discipline, and self-achievement. In our Junior Gymnastics program, we have different categories based on age groups:
- For the little ones aged up to 3.5 years, we have the Starlettes & Tiny Stars classes. These classes are 30–40 minutes long and involve partial parent or carer involvement. The coach guides the children through the class while parents or carers assist as required. It's a structured learning opportunity with independent learning through free time. This class is recommended for children who have the ability to advance their skill-based activities with increased independence.
- Our Junior Stars program is for children aged 3.5 to 5.5 years. The classes are 40–45 minutes long and do not require parent or carer involvement. The instructor guides the group while parents or carers watch from the viewing area. This class is recommended for children aged 3.5 and above who can work independently without parental involvement. The program is divided into three stages: Shooting Stars, Shining Stars, and Rising Stars. For those showing competitive potential, there's an invitation to attend the Super Star program.
At Edge Gymnastics, we follow a term-based schedule to provide continuity and structured learning. The term dates for 2024 are as follows: Term 1 (Monday, 22nd January – Thursday, 28th March), Term 2 (Monday, 15th April – Sunday, 30th June), Term 3 (Monday, 15th July – Sunday, 22nd September), and Term 4 (Monday, 7th October – Thursday, 17th December).
