If you're looking for some friendly competition, Friday nights are the perfect time to hit the courts. The lower grades, C and D, generally play on Friday nights, while the higher grades take on the challenge on Saturday mornings.
Woodend Tennis Club proudly competes against teams from the Macedon Ranges, Sunbury, Melton, and Bacchus Marsh. It's a incredible opportunity to showcase your skills and meet new tennis enthusiasts from different areas.
The summer season runs from October to March, while winter takes place from April to September. Each team is made up of four players, creating a supportive and dynamic environment for everyone involved.
Friday night matches start at 6pm, while Saturday morning matches kick off at 8.30am for summer and 9am for winter. In grades A, B, and C, players enjoy two sets of doubles and one set of singles. D grade players, on the other hand, get to showcase their abilities with three sets of doubles.
It's important to note that all participants must be under 18 years old at the start of each season. We encourage players to have a solid foundation in serving before taking part in the competition.
For those looking to kickstart their tennis journey, we offer the Hot Shots tennis program. Designed for junior beginners aged between 5 and 9 years, this program focuses on fundamental skills and fun competitions. It's a fantastic way for young players to develop their love for the game.
