Shotokan karate, the style taught at Kanshin Karate, is a traditional martial art that incorporates elements of self-defence, sports, and fitness training. However, it goes beyond physical activity and also emphasises the philosophical aspect of the art. The founder of shotokan karate believed that the ultimate goal of the art is not to achieve victory or defeat, but rather to strive toward the perfection of the character of its participants.
Kanshin Karate aims to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, fostering personal growth, self-discipline, and a positive mindset. The experienced instructors focus on individual progress and ensure that each student is given the necessary attention and guidance to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
To find the club, Guildford Spectrum is located at Parkway, Guildford, Surrey, and classes are held at various times throughout the week, including Monday evenings, Tuesday afternoons (during term time only), and Saturday evenings.
