Kia ora sports community,
Alison, the organiser at Kauri Coast Community Swimming Pool in Dargaville, wants to share some updates about the upcoming SwimMagic sessions. The pool is a cherished spot in the Northland region, providing top-notch swimming opportunities for locals and the wider Northland area.
The team at Kauri Coast is committed to delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Through the SwimMagic programme, they offer a variety of lessons designed to ensure steady progression in both a fun and secure setting.
For those not familiar, SwimMagic is a swim school programme designed to help participants progress quickly. During the summer months, lessons take place in an outdoor pool, catering to babies, pre-schoolers, and school-aged children.
Here's the rundown for the upcoming terms:
- **Term 4**: Runs from 20th November to 17th December, with lessons on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The cost is $13 per lesson or $52 for 1 lesson per week for 4 weeks.
- **Term 1**: Runs from 29th January to 10th March, with lessons also on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The cost remains $13 per lesson or $78 for 1 lesson per week for 6 weeks.
SwimMagic isn't just for the little ones. There are programmes for babies and toddlers (6 months – 3 years) and even for adults. Each level is designed to help everyone reach their full potential through exploration, play, songs, challenges, and water safety practices.
With over 200 instructors contributing their knowledge and experience, the SwimMagic school age programme is highly regarded. It focusses on body position and kick exercises to boost progress, especially for younger swimmers.

No matter your swimming ability, the Kauri Coast Community Swimming Pool in Dargaville is a fantastic place to enjoy swimming and hone your skills in a welcoming and friendly environment. Alison looks forward to seeing you at the pool soon!
