Welcome to KEBBA, a well-established and dynamic junior martial arts club located in Bristol. KEBBA caters to children from 5 to 13 years old, living in the BS5, BS15, BS16, BS30, and BS31 Bristol postcodes, including areas such as Warmley, Kingswood, Staple Hill, Frenchay, Downend, Keynsham, Saltford, Hanham, Emersons Green, and Longwell Green. Children from other areas of Bristol and Bath are also more than welcome to join.
At KEBBA, the children engage in a variety of activities, not just karate! Led by our experienced instructor, the “Tiny Tigers” group is designed specifically for children aged 5 and 6 years old. We believe in teaching more than just martial arts – our classes also instil important life skills such as setting boundaries, being respectful to others, and learning to focus and concentrate on any given task. The children also learn the value of teamwork, motivation, and self-discipline.
Founded nearly 18 years ago by Kate Easdale, who has been practising karate for 24 years, KEBBA has grown into a vibrant and fun-filled part of the community. Kate's passion for teaching children led to the opening of KEBBA, and since then, the club has become a wonderful and lively place. With a focus on discipline rather than aggression, KEBBA provides a safe and supportive environment for children to grow and develop.
Apart from the physical benefits of exercise and improved overall health, joining KEBBA also introduces children to social skills like good manners, general politeness, and respect for others. Through our club, children have the opportunity to make new friends and become part of a close-knit community. Furthermore, they receive excellent karate instruction tailored to their age and ability, ensuring a safe and proper learning experience.
KEBBA also offers various opportunities for children to compete and be rewarded for their efforts. As martial art enthusiasts, we maintain direct contact with authentic Japanese karate masters, providing your child with access to the highest level of instruction. Additionally, being part of KEBBA allows children to travel and meet other karate practitioners from around the world.
Don't just take our word for it – parents and children at KEBBA agree that the club offers a great family atmosphere and provides lots of fun while helping young members build confidence and fitness. It is a friendly place where all are made to feel welcome.
