Kelly is experienced in working with individuals, couples, and families, and specialises in trauma, complex presentations, developmental issues, attachment issues, and dissociative identity disorder (DID). She is skilled in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a powerful therapeutic technique for treating trauma and anxiety disorders. Kelly also offers psychological intervention for treating trauma and anxiety disorders, utilising a variety of modalities to best meet the needs of her clients.
In her over 20 years of experience as a counsellor, Kelly has worked with a wide range of issues, including trauma (Complex-PTSD), internal family systems, sexual abuse, personality disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), depression, suicide, grief, anxiety, and social phobias. She is empathetic, compassionate, and dedicated to helping her clients navigate their healing journey.
Kelly Whitewood holds a postgraduate certification in clinical supervision for Health Practitioners and serves as a clinical supervisor for DAPAANZ. This qualification ensures that she is equipped to provide guidance and support to other health practitioners in their clinical work.
