Welcome to Kent Community Cricket Team, a thriving and inclusive cricket club based in Canterbury, New Zealand. Our aim is to support the development and growth of recreational cricket throughout the county, with a focus on creating a high-quality experience that is accessible to all. We want to inspire a generation and show them that “Cricket is a game for me.

At Kent Community Cricket Team, we believe that cricket should be at the heart of the community. We strive to have thriving cricket clubs and schools that not only provide opportunities to play cricket but also foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Our club offers a wide range of programmes and initiatives to cater to the diverse needs of our community. From league cricket for all ages and genders, to junior programmes and women's and girls' cricket, we have something for everyone. We also have programmes specifically designed for individuals with disabilities, in partnership with the Lord's Taverners.

In addition to our on-field activities, we are committed to the development of our players, coaches, officials, and ground staff. We offer coach development courses, accreditation opportunities for officials, and seminars for ground staff. Our aim is to provide the necessary support and resources to help individuals reach their full potential in the sport.

Safeguarding and welfare is of utmost importance to us. We have comprehensive information and measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in the recreational game. We also prioritise equity, diversity, and inclusion, and have our own EDI Policy & Action Plan that complements the actions taken by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to improve the EDI landscape across cricket in the county.

If you're interested in giving cricket a go, we offer a “Give Cricket a Go! ” programme for schools, tour groups, and community groups. This programme allows participants to learn more about the sport, have fun, and develop valuable skills such as teamwork and resilience.
