KERALA HOCKEY

KERALA HOCKEY stands as the official authority dedicated to managing, controlling, and promoting the game of Hockey in Kerala. Recognized by the Kerala State Sports Council and affiliated with Hockey India, the club was established on August 24th, 2014, with a mission to rejuvenate hockey in the state. The commitment is not just to build teams but to cultivate a vibrant community passionate about the sport.

With deep-rooted traditions in hockey, Kerala has produced remarkable talents who have shone on national and international stages. Esteemed players like Manuel Fredricks, an Olympic bronze medalist and Dhyan Chand Awardee, Padmasree P. R. Sreejesh, captain of the Indian Hockey Team, along with Olympians such as Anil Aldrian, Sabu Varkey, and Dinesh Naik hail from Kerala. Their achievements underscore the state’s potential and rich history in the sport.

KERALA HOCKEY places immense focus on fostering young talent, especially through grassroots programs in schools and colleges. The organization believes in nurturing players right from their formative years, providing them with necessary training and infrastructure to excel. The goal is to revive the golden days of hockey in Kerala and to see the state as a regular contributor to the national teams.
