Hey there, athletes! Have you checked out KGV Browns Field Prescot lately? Located right here in Prescot, it’s the bigger of the two open spaces in town and earned the Green Flag Award in October 2021.
Dave from Prescot Town Council, who works hard to make this park great, wants you to know it’s got everything you need. There’s a traditional playground for the little ones and a natural play space for 8-13 year olds. Footballers can enjoy two senior pitches and a junior pitch.
For a bit of a warm-up or cool-down, take a stroll on the footpath along the east side of the park. There’s also plenty of parking available.
Don't miss the Prescot Carnival in June! It’s packed with free activities and fun for all.
Dave and the team at Prescot Town Council, along with Knowsley Council, have big plans to make the park even better. Think new footpaths, ball stop fences, modern changing rooms, and top-notch pitch drainage. They’re adding a new toddler play area, installing CCTV, and putting in more benches and litter bins.
They’re aiming to raise about £1 million to make all this happen, and they’ve already secured some funds to start with the toddler play area.
Kudos to the Friends Group for their dedication in transforming the park. They’re a big reason why KGV Browns Field Prescot is so fantastic! If you’re keen to help out, there’s info on the park’s website.
So, whether you’re playing, walking, or just visiting, get down to KGV Browns Field Prescot and enjoy everything it has to offer. Cheers!
