He achieved his black belt (Shodan) in 1977 and even represented his country in Johannesburg competitions in Kumite (free style fighting). After immigrating to the UK in 1978, Sensei Dominic resumed his training in Shukokai Karate in 2000 under Robin Horsefield (5th Dan) in the Putney Dojo.

He has also trained in judo and Jujitsu (Yoshin Ryu) under the British Martial Arts Federation. Sensei Dominic's extensive experience and knowledge make him an invaluable asset to the club and its members.
