Karate Community - Cooroy is thrilled to announce the Kindergarten Karate program for children aged 4 and 5 years old in pre-kinder and kindergarten. This wellness program is designed to provide a nurturing and fun-filled learn-through-play experience for our youngest karate enthusiasts.
With our tried-and-tested training methods, principles, and philosophies, participants will not only engage in physical exercise but also enjoy challenging activities while learning authentic karate. As an added bonus, the program supports the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which emphasises children's well-being and collaborative partnerships with families and communities.
Our classes, which run for 30 minutes, strike the perfect balance between focused development and allowing young minds to flourish. We offer flexibility with a choice of either a 5 or 10-week block, priced at $12 per child per week. Each week, we introduce different modules to develop specific skill sets, ensuring that our classes are always fresh and exciting.
To further enhance the learning experience, we maintain small class sizes. This way, every participant receives maximum engagement, individualised support, and the opportunity to develop their skills to their fullest potential. Plus, upon enrolment, each child will receive a special Karate Community headband, symbolising their commitment to the martial arts. At the end of the program, they will also be awarded a Certificate of Participation as a token of their achievements.
Leading the Kindergarten Karate program is Peter Zarb, a highly experienced local martial artist with over 20 years of teaching under his black belt. Peter is not only passionate about the combat arts but also deeply committed to youth development. With his expertise and infectious inspiration, your child is in excellent hands.
