Kings Gymnastics is a reputable gymnastics club located in Carlisle, Victoria Park. As a family-owned business, the club is staffed with experienced and passionate gymnastics advocates who are dedicated to teaching the sport to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
At Kings Gymnastics, the team is committed to helping athletes reach their full potential through hard work, commitment, and a positive mindset. Led by Head Coach and owner, Coral, who has a remarkable background in gymnastics, the club provides a nurturing and motivating environment for gymnasts to thrive.
Coral's journey in gymnastics began at the age of 7, and she instantly developed a love for the sport. She went on to represent Great Britain as a National Squad member at the Junior and Senior FIG level. After retiring from competitive gymnastics, Coral became a choreographer and beam specialist at Port Regis School Gymnastics Club in the UK.
Coral's dedication and drive led to early success, earning her the High-Performance Coaching accreditation at the young age of 24. She was subsequently promoted to Director of Gymnastics, and under her coaching, her squad became the National Schools Champions for 14 consecutive years. Coral's expertise also extended to coaching athletes in FIG Women's Artistic Gymnastics, who went on to represent England and Great Britain at various levels.
In 2014, the King family, including Coral, her husband Shaun, and their three daughters, Imogen, Sasha, and Angel, were granted permanent residency in Australia. They chose Perth as their new home, and Kings Gymnastics quickly became a beloved establishment in the community. The King daughters, who have all been involved in gymnastics, contribute their knowledge and skills as members of the coaching team.
Upon relocating to Perth, Coral was selected as the Western Australia Women's Artistic Coach coordinator, where she played a significant role in educating and supporting coaches and clubs. She then worked as a Senior Coach at leading Perth Gymnastics Clubs and was ultimately offered the Head Coach role in Gymnastics Australia's Perth High Performance programme. During her tenure, she coached top Australian gymnasts and collaborated with world-class coaches, representing Australia internationally.
Following the closure of Gymnastics Australia's programme, Coral embarked on a new chapter in her gymnastics journey and established Kings Gymnastics Club. The club prides itself on its coaching philosophy, which emphasises empowering athletes, hard work, dedication, and world-class technical knowledge. Coral inspires all athletes, regardless of their level, to excel in gymnastics and develop a love for the sport, fostering a sense of respect for their team and coaches.
