Kingsley Cricket Club, located in rural Cheshire, is calling out to all cricketers! Organiser John has made sure it’s the place where cricketers of any age or skill level are welcomed with open arms. Nestled in a lovely spot, it's more than just cricket - it’s where you build friendships that last.
The club fields four senior men’s teams. The First XI battles it out in Division 3 of the Cheshire County Cricket League, while the Second XI is set for Division B of the Cheshire Cricket League in 2023. Midweek action? Check out the Kingsley Knights in Division 2 of the Chester Mid-Week League. And for those who enjoy a friendly game on Sundays, the Sunday XI has plenty of fixtures lined up.
Junior cricket is buzzing too. Kids from age 5 can take part, with Under 9, 11, 13, and 15 teams ready to compete this season. They’ve got the All Stars programme for the young ones in school years 3 and 4.
A big shoutout to the Comets, the new women’s team who shot to fame in 2022 by clinching victory in all their tournaments. Open to women of all ages and levels, it’s a fantastic addition to the club.
But it’s not just about cricket. There’s a strong social scene with plenty of events for players, parents, and families like BBQs, Quiz Nights, and their well-loved Craft Beer Festival. It’s a great way to enjoy local craft beers and some tasty food.
Whether you're thinking of playing or just want to be part of the club, John invites everyone to join in. For more details on teams, events, and joining, check out their website or social media. Kingsley Cricket Club, proudly supported by local businesses, makes sure the annual beer festival is an event you won’t want to miss!
