Kirsty Stewart Yoga, based in Paisley, is a seasonal yoga teacher with a passion for bringing balance and harmony to people's lives. With years of personal yoga practise under her belt, Kirsty decided to embark on a journey to become a yoga teacher in 2016, studying at the Seasonal Yoga Academy in Glasgow. She obtained her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate and has since been upgraded to an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-200).
Kirsty specialises in Seasonal Yoga flow or Seasonal Vinyasa Flow, a dynamic style of yoga practise designed to align individuals with the changing energies of nature and the seasons. This practise not only improves physical strength and flexibility but also brings a sense of balance and harmony to one's life. Kirsty's dedication to enhancing her yoga education led her to pursue additional training in Rockstar Yoga, which focuses on core strength vinyasa flow. She also trained in Yin Yoga, a practise that targets the body's connective tissues through long-held floor-based poses.
Additionally, Kirsty has studied Yoga for Sleep Recovery, the 5-step Sleep Recovery method aimed at helping individuals improve their sleep quality. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and offers yoga teacher trainings and Continuing Professional Development courses.
Kirsty's dedication to yoga extends beyond the mat, as she immerses herself in various styles and practises to provide a well-rounded experience for her students. She is trained in Subtle Yoga, a person-centred approach tailored to different body types and physical abilities, as well as Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation and relaxation practise known to induce deep rest. Kirsty is currently studying with My Vinyasa Practise to complete her 300-hour teacher training and become a 500-hour registered teacher. She is also training with Air Control Pilates to become a qualified instructor.
In her classes, Kirsty aims to cater to a wide range of individuals and needs. She teaches yoga for the stages of menopause and beyond, with the intention of helping women alleviate the symptoms associated with these life stages. Kirsty also leads yoga classes for athletes, promoting injury reduction and prolonging athletes' careers. Her classes encompass a variety of yoga styles that complement each other, providing a comprehensive experience for her students.
Kirsty's teaching style has garnered positive feedback from her students, who appreciate her warmth, welcoming nature, and ability to cater to different skill levels. Her classes are described as relaxing yet challenging, with a good balance between the two. Kirsty takes the time to understand each individual's goals and skill levels, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in her classes.
