Kyokushin Karate Club

Kyokushin Karate Club in Petersburg is dedicated to building character and training the mind and body to contribute to society. As a part of the International Karate organization, Kyokushin Karate Club follows the karate way of promoting international friendship and world peace through the principles of Kyokushin. Founded by Masutatsu Oyama, our club aims to cultivate discipline, respect, and honour while adhering to the code of conduct of Bushido.

Mas Oyama's legacy lives on through the Kyokushin Karate Club, which offers programs for kids, adults, and advanced students. The Karate for Kids system focuses on teaching traditional Karate training along with important life skills such as self-esteem, perseverance, and dedication. Adult classes provide intense training to improve reflexes, sharpen the mind and body, and teach self-defence techniques. Advanced students have the opportunity to demonstrate and enhance their skills through sparring, self-defence techniques, and conditioning.

Sensei Bernard Banaszczyk, a 3MNCCP Certified Athletic Coach and IKO Branch Chief of Canada, leads the training at Kyokushin Karate Club. With his expertise and guidance, students can reach their full potential in the art of Kyokushin Karate.
