Robin Horsfall, the Chief Instructor at Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate Chiswick, wants to extend a warm invitation to the sports community. Since founding the school in 1993, Robin, a 6th Dan black belt, has seen it grow into one of the UK's fastest-growing karate groups. The school, based at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, offers karate classes for both children and adults.
Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate teaches the Shukokai style, known for its dynamic techniques, blending traditional and modern practices. Open to anyone from the age of 4, there are multiple clubs across West and South West London. Besides Brentford, other locations include Tudor Hall in Kingston, WASPS RFC in Ealing, Roehampton University, and more.
Over the years, Kyo Rei Shukokai has trained over 800 members, some of whom have thrived in national and international competitions. However, Robin's primary focus is on helping students build self-esteem and develop a positive attitude.
Karate at Kyo Rei Shukokai not only boosts fitness, flexibility, and stamina but also teaches effective self-defence and enhances mental focus and discipline. Those interested in joining can visit the school's website for more information or check out their online shop for karate gear and licences.
Robin and the team are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where students can grow while embracing values like good manners, discipline, and respect. The school operates under London Karate Ltd, registration number 04339033, with offices at 116 Cardinal Avenue, Kingston, KT2 5SA.
Robin looks forward to welcoming new members to the Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate community.
