Laberge Taekwondo

Laberge Taekwondo is a renowned martial arts school and Taekwondo competition area located in Mont-Laurier. Taekwondo, an ancient Korean martial art, has evolved into a modern and internationally recognized sport. Established as a discipline in the Olympic Games since Sydney 2000, Taekwondo emphasizes self-defence and good sportsmanship. In this combat sport, fighters engage in competitive matches on an octagonal mat, scoring points with precise kicks and punches.

Laberge Taekwondo is led by Master Thierry Laberge, a 6th Dan black belt and technical supervisor of the Taekwondo schools in Mont-Laurier bearing his name. With a wealth of martial arts knowledge and a strict yet dynamic teaching approach, Master Laberge is committed to catering to the diverse needs and interests of students. Alongside him is Master Natacha Bleau, a 5th Dan black belt instructor, with over 25 years of Taekwondo experience. Her passion for teaching children and expertise in forms (KATA) have made her a valuable asset to the school.

The instructors at Laberge Taekwondo adopt an educative approach, focusing on rigorous learning while considering the individual goals and interests of each student. With dedicated attention to the progress of their students, they foster unique bonds and create a supportive learning environment. The school offers classes for children aged 3 to 6 (Petit-Tigres), juniors aged 6 to 16, adults, and family sessions. Additionally, the school provides a range of martial arts equipment for purchase, including uniforms, combat gear, and protective wear.
