Competitions at the club are primarily held on the Portland Course, known for its top-notch conditions, with occasional contests on the historic Old Course at Royal Troon. Members benefit from access to Royal Troon’s fantastic practise facilities, providing everything needed to refine their game.

Thanks to the favourable climate, competitions run all year. Regular events take place on Friday and Saturday mornings, and include medal competitions, team events, social games, and 9-hole challenges. This lively schedule ensures a mix of competitive and social golf, with over 100 ladies regularly participating.

Besides the thrill of competition, the club also organises social events like the Summer Mixed Foursomes followed by dinner, fostering camaraderie among members. The annual Invitation Day is a highlight, consistently drawing enthusiastic participation.

Founded in 1882, the club boasts a rich competitive history. Competing in Division One of the Greenlees League, the club’s achievements include winning the prestigious interclub competition in 2018.
