About
Lamorbey Park Archers, based in Sidcup, is looking for dedicated sports players to join their fantastic archery club. Established in 1958, Matt and his team have been running competitive target shooting sessions up to 100 yards, with a warm welcome to both Recurve and Longbow archers.
The club operates mostly on weekends, offering a variety of activities when the weather is good. On Saturdays at 12:00, they hold practice sessions which sometimes include beginner's lessons. Sundays are for Club Members only, with sessions starting at 10:00 am sharp.
What makes Lamorbey Park Archers special is the sense of community and camaraderie Matt fosters. With about a dozen competitions each year, there are plenty of chances for everyone to display their skills and enjoy the sport, regardless of whether they're shooting for fun or in it to win.
The club has a rich history, starting on the lawn of what is now Rose Bruford College. Over the years, there have been many achievements and milestones, including Jane Brent becoming the first Kent archer to achieve Grand Master Bowman status and Peter Boyd representing England internationally.
Looking for a place to shoot arrows and make friends? Matt's club is perfect, offering top-notch facilities and a supportive environment. You don’t need to be an expert—with their legacy, impressive range, and regular competitions, Lamorbey Park Archers is the ideal spot to enhance your archery skills and enjoy some great company. Join them and be part of this legacy!
