Lancaster Dance

Lancaster Dance, led by the experienced James Reeder, is reintroducing dance classes in Lancaster at The Centre @ Halton after a 5-year break. With the largest dance floor in Lancaster or Morecambe, this venue offers an excellent environment for learning ballroom, latin, and solo routines. The venue also ensures convenience with extensive onsite parking and CCTV security.

Every Tuesday, adults of all ages and skill levels can join classes starting with beginner solo dances at 7:45pm, followed by beginner ballroom and latin at 8:30pm, and social dancing from 9:15pm. Participants don't need a partner as swapping partners is common, fostering a welcoming and social atmosphere. Those preferring a fixed partner can contact James in advance.

James recommends reaching out to him before attending a class, with classes running through school holidays except for a December break. New dancers are encouraged to join at the start of a new routine to avoid falling behind. Ballroom and latin routines typically last 4-6 weeks, while solo routines span 1-3 weeks.

Each session includes a review of previous steps and the introduction of new ones, ensuring continuity even if a week is missed. Post-class practice sessions offer additional support and social opportunities.
