She furthered her training at the Rock School for Dance Education, where she had the opportunity to learn from renowned instructors such as Christopher Flemming and Mariaelena Ruiz. Kayla continued her dance journey at Miami City Ballet and Ballet Austin, where she performed lead roles in productions such as 'The Four Temperaments' and 'Paquita'.
She later joined Ballet Pensacola as a principal artist, showcasing her talent in productions like Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker. After retiring from dancing, Kayla pursued her love for costume design at the Arts University Bournemouth and gained her teaching qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance. She now shares her expertise and passion for dance as the Principal of Lawlor School of Dance.
In addition to Kayla, the school boasts a team of dedicated and experienced teachers, including Laura Spinney. Laura's dance journey began at a young age, and she was a junior associate at the Royal Ballet. She pursued her dance education at Laban, contemporary Dance school in London, where she earned her BA(Hons) in Dance theatre. Laura has performed with MapDance company, touring contemporary dance works from various choreographers.
