Lazonby & District Swimming Pool

Lindsay wanted to drop you all a quick note about our local gem – Lazonby Outdoor Swimming Pool. Nestled in the beautiful Eden Valley, Lazonby Pool has been a cherished spot since 1964. You can find it in Lazonby village, just a 5-minute walk from the Lazonby & Kirkoswald train station or a quick drive from Penrith, Carlisle, and the Lake District.

The pool's a cosy 17m × 8m, heated to a nice 24C, so it's always perfect for a dip, come rain or shine. There's also a toddler pool and a fun fountain, meaning folks of all ages can enjoy it. With depths ranging from 1m to 2.29m, it's safe and fun for everyone.

Lifeguards are on duty all the time, making sure everyone stays safe. Plus, there are plenty of pool toys and floats to keep things entertaining. If you're more into chilling out, there’s a lovely picnic area and lots of grassy space to relax or have a picnic with mates or family. Covered seating areas are perfect for enjoying treats from the on-site kiosk.

Planning to stick around a bit longer? There’s an adjoining campsite with 10 pitches, each with electric hook-ups. The campsite is surrounded by fields and woodland, offering stunning views of the Eden Valley and the Pennines. There are shower facilities and a playground, making it a great choice for families.

Throughout the season, Lazonby Pool hosts all sorts of fab events, from the Big Splash Pool Opening to breakfast swims and the Bob Smith Gala. The season runs from 6th May to 10th September 2023. If you're a regular, a season ticket might be worth considering for the best value.
