Campus Disk Golf Course offers a unique and challenging disk golf experience for players of all levels. Established in 2021, this 9-hole course is located within the North Greenspace of Lethbridge College, starting from the left side of the tennis court entrance and finishing on the right side. The course was designed to provide safe and affordable outdoor physical activity options for students at Lethbridge College. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the course serves as a way for students to exercise, socialize, and relieve stress safely.
The course features trees, shrubs, and varying terrain around the baskets, creating obstacles that challenge golfers to strategize their throws. Players complete each hole by landing their disk in the basket, with the only equipment required being disks, which can range from $10 to $25. Lethbridge College students can borrow disks from the Lethbridge College Students Association or Recreation Services, making it accessible for all levels of players.
In addition to regular play, the LCSA Campus Disk Golf Course also hosts seasonal tournaments and beginner clinics in collaboration with community partners. This further promotes the growth of disk golf in Lethbridge and provides opportunities for players to enhance their skills and enjoy the sport. The course sponsors and partners include Bridge City Gunners, Horizon Disks, Games Galore the Billiard store, Kodiak Athletics, and various departments within Lethbridge College.
For those interested in experiencing the course, there are interactive maps and aerial views available, thanks to Tyler Waldron, a lab technician and drone pilot professional at Lethbridge College. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned disk golfer, LCSA Campus Disk Golf Course offers a fun and challenging experience for all players.
