Leaders in Scouting Rafting and Coracle Permit Course

The Canoe Sports Trust is excited to offer a unique opportunity for Leaders in Scouting to expand their skill set with a half-day traditional rafting and coracle permit course. This course is perfect for those who already have experience in building rafts and want to take their adventurous activities to the next level.

During the course, participants will focus on group management, safety considerations, and practical skills needed for leading rafting activities. Safety measures, rescues, and group discussions will all be covered to ensure that every candidate is well-prepared to lead rafting and coracle activities.

To be eligible for the course, candidates must either have an adventurous Activity Permit for a paddlesports discipline or be in the process of obtaining one. Upon successful completion of the training, attendees can apply for a "Scout Adventurous Activity Permit for Rafting and Coracles." This permit will allow leaders to conduct activities on Class C & B1 waters, with additional restrictions based on individual skills.
