Each December, the school puts on a highly anticipated Christmas Concert at the Whangaparaoa College Auditorium. This event, featuring thirty dances, beautiful costumes, and captivating music, draws a full house and showcases the students’ hard work and talent.
Founder and Principal Lea Sandford leads the school with over twenty-one years of experience. A Life Member and registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, Lea is respected for her expertise and dedication, having begun her teaching career at just fifteen.
The team also features Sofia McDonald, a former student who has completed all Royal Academy of Dance exams and holds a Bachelor of Dance Studies from the University of Auckland. Sofia's passion and skill enrich the learning experience for all students.
The school instils discipline, self-confidence, and a love for dance. Alongside regular classes, they offer medal test competitions, family concerts, and even performances at local retirement villages.
