

Welcome to Leicester City Hockey Club, one of the oldest and most successful ladies hockey clubs in England. Established in 1894, the club has a rich history and a strong tradition of excellence. In 2018-19, the club opened its doors to men, and since then, it has become a thriving club that offers hockey to boys and girls, men and women from the ages of 7 upwards.
Leicester City Hockey Club also introduced walking hockey in the 2019-20 season, and it has been steadily growing in popularity. The club caters to players of all ages and abilities, and it welcomes umpires, coaches, and supporters as well. Whether you want to pick up a stick, whistle, or clipboard, there is a place for you at the club.
The club is proud to have earned the Clubmark accreditation from England Hockey in 2021. This accreditation recognises Leicester City Hockey Club as a safe and supportive environment for all players to develop and thrive as hockey players and individuals.
In June 2023, the club opened its new Olympic standard pitch, providing an exciting venue for members and new members to come and play. The club has 7 senior teams, including 5 womens teams and 2 mens teams, offering competitive hockey at various levels, from local leagues and cups to National League levels. There are also many junior teams, ensuring that players of all ages have the opportunity to participate in the sport.
